Cairns Regional Council will take a long-term view of Lake Morris Road, with a plan to investigate public use of Copperlode Dam and its surrounds.
A purpose-built conservatory will soon showcase many of the Cairns Botanic Gardens' most spectacular plant species. Inspired by the iconic licuala palm, the conservatory is expected to be completed at the end of this year. The George Watkins Orchid House and Munro Martin Fernery have been closed to allow works to commence.
