Cairns Works - delivering reliable, value-added services

Cairns Works aims to provide effective, efficient and reliable construction of roads, drainage, parks, foreshore and other infrastructure/facilities, as well as supplying the corresponding maintenance and operational roles that these community assets require.

A business unit of Cairns Regional Council, responsibilities are divided under these work areas:

Cairns Works is also a significant partner in the refurbishment and renewal of assets under Council’s Capital Works Program. The number and scope of refurbishment, renewal and construction projects undertaken from the Capital Works Program is determined on an annual basis, framed on a base workload value of $18 million, but with scope to increase to higher amounts depending primarily on the types of projects.
