Cairns Calendar of Multi-Cultural Community Events 2008

One of the key resources developed by LAMP every year is the Cairns Calendar of Multi-Cultural Community Events which lists a number of cultural, Independence Day and multi-faith celebrations and events organised by different cultural and community groups across the Cairns area.

Above: Young dancer from the Punjabi community performed for the first time at last years 7th annual Peace Week United in Diversity Community Festival at Fogarty Park.

Above: Traditional dancers travelled from Papua New Guinea to perform at the annual Tropical Wave Festival, a multicultural celebration showcasing the regions vibrant and culturally diverse community as part of the Festival Cairns grand finale.
