LAMP
The Local Area Multicultural Partnership (LAMP) program is an initiative of the Queensland Government.
The program is a partnership strategy between State Government and Local Government to support community involvement in multicultural Queensland. It's a statewide network, supported through the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ).
Council’s LAMP focuses on communities from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds (DCLB). The program is a key component in the implementation of the Multicultural Queensland Policy, and aims to develop a wide range of Community Relations strategies to make Council services more accessible and equitable for residents and visitors from DCLB.
