ERA development approval
How to apply
Development approvals are assessed under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (SPA) and Council’s planning scheme. The SPA assesses applications in accordance with the Integrated Development Assessment System (IDAS).
Should the activity require assessment under Council’s planning scheme (compliance assessment, code assessable or impact assessable development) you are required to contact Council’s Planning & Environment department.
Should you require a planning application you will need to submit an ERA application along with the relevant planning forms to Council’s Development Assessment department at the time of lodgement.
Alternatively, if the activity does not require assessment under Council’s planning scheme (self-assessable development) the application can be directly assessed by Environmental Protection as the assessment manager.
To obtain development approval, all ERA applications will require the following forms to be submitted prior to obtaining operators registration.
