This Land Management Plan is to consider all existing primary and secondary uses of the land for the Reserve for Park and Recreation purposes (R1476), Church Street, Babinda and proposed trustee lease to the Babinda Community Kindergarten.

Have your say in shaping the future of transportation in Cairns. The Cairns Transport Study is being jointly developed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Cairns Regional Council.
The Council is redeveloping Kenrick St Park and Fisher Road Park in Gordonvale into an exciting new destination park and inviting the community to suggest a new name.
Council recently received a request to name the new park located off Cutters Boulevard, Salvatore Drive and Draper Road, Gordonvale – “Straguszi Park / Gidigidi Nganyju Park”.
The Scenic Preference Survey will help Council better understand the community’s preference and appreciation of the scenic qualities of the Cairns region.
Council has prepared a Growth Strategy Framework as part of the Towards 2050 Shaping Cairns project. It explains how we are developing the Growth Strategy and introduces a suite of guiding principles that will underpin the next phase of the project.
Initial engagement for the Towards 2050 Growth Strategy included a survey where residents shared what they love about Cairns and their suburb, and their hopes for the city in the future.
