Council pledges support for local revegetation projects

Four local groups will share in $60,000 of funding to assist with revegetation project.
Council endorsed the new Revegetation of Natural Areas Grant program earlier this year to provide funding for the revegetation of natural areas to improve the native habitats and enhance biodiversity.
Recipients of the grants are:
- Caravonica 1077 Residents Association Inc for a revegetation project at the Botanica Nature Reserve – $11,000
- Madjandji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBZ for the revegetation project Caring for Woolanmaroo – $19,000
- Marlin Coast Men’s Shed Inc for the revegetation project Moore’s Gully and Surrounds Program Stage 1 – $15,000
- Mulgrave Landcare & Catchment Group Inc for a revegetation project at Barbagallo Rd, Riparian Corridor Linkage – $15,000.
