Jeff Pezzutti Park Masterplan - Stage 2
We recently ran a survey to gauge the community’s views on making improvements to the public recreation space at Jeff Pezzuti Park. The survey was open from 3 July to 14 August 2023 and received 185 responses. This is a great response, and we would like to thank all those who participated and provided valuable feedback. We will take the results of the survey to help inform the Jeff Pezzuti Park improvement plan to guide planning for the site.
Council is developing a new kids and youth activity space at Jeff Pezzutti Park and wants your thoughts on the initial concept.
The activity space is the second stage of the park masterplan ( PDF, 1.29 MB ), following the relocation of the tennis club and safety improvements at the Windarra St/Rigg St intersection.
Public feedback during the initial masterplan consultation revealed the need for improved recreation opportunities for families and teens.
We are now seeking specific feedback on the types of activities that are suitable for the area. Once selected Council will hold detailed consultation with families, youth and industry to select the final design.
Proposed elements of Stage 2 of the masterplan are:
- New skate / scooter area
- New bump track
- New, larger playground (suitable for primary school aged children)
- New multipurpose court
- New public toilets
- Improved paths and connectivity
- Improved safety with clear sight lines, CCTV and lighting
- Increased landscaping and trees.
