Paint Like Picasso
By Hedwig Verhulst
Budding artists are invited to unleash their creativity with painting easels and sticks, ready for instant masterpieces to take home. Each easel is adorned with mirrors, some bending reality, while buckets of hats and disguises stand nearby, waiting to spark imagination. Children are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild, drawing inspiration from Picasso's celebration of diversity.
This innovative approach nurtures empathy, understanding, and boundless imagination as kids paint what they see or embody different characters during their artistic journey. Inspired by the book "The Boy Who Bit Picasso," which shares childhood tales of encounters with the iconic artist, the workshop emphasizes the value of play and self-expression. As Picasso famously said, "Every child is an artist"!
*Kindly return disguises and painting sticks to the easels for others to enjoy. Thank you for your cooperation!
