I am Here by Indigenous Design Labs
Exhibition: Friday 19 January – Saturday 2 March 2024
Launch: 10am, Saturday 20 January
The tapestry of our belonging and the vibrant threads of our cultures are intimately entwined in the life stories of our Elders. In a world often veiled by artificiality, the true essence of belonging unfurls when we embrace the real-time connection with those who carry the wisdom of the past, binding our hearts in a dance of shared experiences and timeless journeys.
Indigenous Design Labs (IDL):
IDL is Indigenous-led creative confluence hub of design, art, technology and culture. Throughout this exhibition creatives from IDL have used traditional photographic techniques melded with artificial intelligence to prompt the stories of our Elders visually.
Indigenous Design Labs Creatives:
Leigh Harris \ Sheree Jacobs \ Tarquin Singleton \ Jamaylya Ballangarry-Kearins \ Lalawa Donigi-Bedford \ Samara Francis \ Siuai Donigi-Bedford \ Chenae Dempsey \ Leonardo Robinson \ Norah Schlesak \ Kalani Mentha \ Sina Mahina \ Reseira Brown
