Planning & Development industry partnerships

Council is committed to fostering a partnership approach to development. We offer local development industry experts an opportunity to unite with us, to collaboratively tackle development challenges unique to the Cairns region.

The mission of both the Planning & Development Industry Reference Group and Planning & Development Industry Initiative is to leverage the power of collaboration to positively shape planning and assessment processes and outcomes for the Cairns region.

These initiatives harness collective expertise, consider diverse perspectives and encourage mutual understanding and cooperation among stakeholders. In doing so, they strive to deliver tangible benefits for the Cairns community ranging from enhanced infrastructure and services, to improved quality of life and overall well-being.
